The Institute offers four course
levels in German language, although the first two levels are
the most popular.
Our beginners’ course is
designed to make the student “street-smart” and therefore
covers topics such as: greeting and introducing people,
ordering food and drinks, booking a hotel room, purchasing
goods, taking public transport etc. The student also learns
how to talk about more personal topics such as family and
work. A vocabulary of about 500 words is built up during the
course and grammar is kept fairly simple. Great emphasis is
placed on students communicating with one another from the
start.
The second level of our German
courses aims at providing the student with a basic knowledge
of the language, which will enable him to take part in
conversations on a deeper level than before. The student
learns how to express himself more freely and accurately in
conversation, as well as how to understand short texts of
varying kinds. At this stage he will be able to talk about
past events.
Levels three and four bring the
student to a fair degree of fluency in the language and are
recommended for students who wish to work in Germany or with
a German firm in the Emirates.
Each course takes 40 hours and
classes are usually on Sundays and Tuesdays for two hours in
the evening. |
